Robinson is the main character of the Defos’ novels, at the age of nineteen he decides to travel around the world and make his fortune. During one of his voyage, he shipwrecked on a desert island and, only survival, remains here for 28 years. He writes a diary where he records his experiences etc. After twelve years of solitude he finds a human footprint on the shore. So he discovers to be not alone on the island, there is, infact, a tribe of cannibals. Robinson decides to kills all the cannibals except one that call Friday and teaches him English. The novel ends with Robinson’s return to England and his discovery that his platation in Brazil has prospered and made him very rich.
